Mating disruption

Description

Mating disruption is the best means of control.  Males find females to mate with by following pheromone scent trails.  This confusion technique reduces the risk of nursery stock infestation or egg deposition.

            EGVM:  (25) (90)  In addition to pheromones an electrostatic powder has also been used to confuse males by reducing their ability to sense the pheromone (69).
